Benign Mesothelioma Benign Mesothelioma

Let's face it, the list of scary things that can happen to anyone, the diagnosis of meningioma brain tumor type has learned to be quite high on anyones list. But if it happened to you or a loved one diagnosed with meningioma brain tumors should not be the end of the world.

In the summer of 2006 my wife suffered from involuntary spasms in his leg. She initially thought it was probably a pinched nerve in his back (Note to reader: – If you are a medical self-diagnosis is a big no-no)!

When this began to happen on a fairly regular basis, became more than a little upset by what took place a trip to the doctors. Fortunately, we have a very good doctor who decided, as a first option rather than a final, to schedule an MRI. However, an MRI in the head and not the back, where it was thought that the problem may be!

MRI was done and rather optimistic by nature, two thought it would reveal all nothing and would be a case of a rehabilitation or treatment. What happened next changed our lives overnight. A brain tumor was diagnosed as meningioma of the cause of the leg of the "free" effect.

To say we were surprised as Shell would be an understatement. When someone says he has a brain tumor the first thought is that you will die automatically. Period. I know it's true for my wife and I would not be honest if I said that was not the first thought in my head too.

I think it is true that benign meningiomas are more common in women than in men.

The fact is that a meningioma brain tumor type can be one of the types of tumor is operable. Moreover, they are most often benign, as was the case with my wife.

After the initial shock had abated somewhat, we started try to think positive again. We made an appointment with the neurosurgeon and my first question was: "How this pain in my experience as a woman?" Your answer was a good surprise.

"No pain," he said. This man was exactly the kind of person you want if someone opening the skull and began looking inside! She was the personification of the word peace. He exuded a relaxed attitude towards the whole affair that has instilled much confidence in us. We both started to feel that perhaps A diagnosis of meningioma brain tumor did not mean the end of the world, after all.

And it turned out. The time of the operation was a complete success 5. The meningioma was removed in one piece and, after several days in intensive care my wife has moved to a general area Ward Hospital to complete his recovery.

I wondered if there was pain and always the answer was "No." Indeed, we now look back and laugh at the fact that the more pain they experienced during hospital stay was more than indigestion from the hospital food!

Within 10 days my wife was at home the next day and return to work on your computer. I tried to stop, but I wanted to do, saying he was bored and just wanted to come back normal.

Thus, even if something very afraid to be told a diagnosis of meningiomas, brain tumors should not be the end of the world.
